In the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown, we started out as an online community
Heaven’s Gate Academy was founded by El Shakar Ideh in the year 2020. It is a prophetic teaching community committed to cultivating a new generation in the fear of the Lord. The academy provides practical spiritual knowledge that can be applied in everyday life, shaping individuals to become better spouses, friends, colleagues, and global citizens.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, as the world was plunged into a forced sabbath, millions of people were compelled to look inward. Stirred by the spirit of God, this reflective period awakened a profound spiritual hunger in a new generation.

We found God in a community of globally connected believers
In response, guided by divine inspiration, El Shakar launched a virtual teaching series titled “Hearing God’s Voice.” After the third installment, a WhatsApp group was created, establishing a sanctuary for individuals around the world undergoing a spiritual revival.
This group quickly became a critical hub for communal spiritual growth and connection. What started as a small group of spiritually hungry individuals on WhatsApp swiftly evolved into a global network of believers. Fueled by a passion to transform themselves and the world around them, this community has grown into a powerful force for change.

My name is El Shakar Ideh. I am a devoted husband, father, and the lead sheep at Heaven’s Gate Academy.
Above all, I am a friend of God.
I have a burning desire to foster a generation that understands their divine identity and embraces their spiritual and earthly responsibilities.
My mission is to collaborate with God in guiding His children towards growth in obedience and Godly character, transforming them into individuals who embody and preach God's teachings through their actions.
I firmly believe that spiritual knowledge must be practical, applicable in daily life, and address contemporary challenges.
I hold the view that every child of God is a priest, tasked with mediating between God and humanity, not only in sacred spaces but in every place.
As a lifelong learner on a divine path, I seek deeper communion with God and his children. Join me on this journey and let us be made perfect together.

The Gathering of the Saints
On the last Saturday of every month, we host a physical retreat in Lagos, Nigeria.
This intercessory gathering is dedicated to our generation and those whom God is calling to Himself. It is also a time of laughter, bonding, and fellowship among men and women of faith.
