Can God have favourites?

Can God have favourites? Are there some people he just chooses to favour and others He chooses to abandon?
Ah, this is a very good question. It is well with you. The Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ grew in wisdom, stature, and favor before God and men. Even in the many scriptures that talk about the favor of God, that scripture in itself lets us know that this thing called favor is kind of like an exclusive thing. It's not something that God just throws anyhow at anybody. Are you following?
I mean, when you study the Bible, you realize that there are some people who have God's ears more than others, right? Saul will have to go and meet Samuel to hear what God is saying. Are you getting my point? People will have to go and meet Moses to hear what God is saying and so on and so forth.
Because amongst mankind, even though God is a great giver and is a lover, I need us all to understand that God is looking for a symbiotic relationship with mankind, where it's not enough for him to just know you. He wants people who will also go the extra mile to know him, unite with him, and partner with him. Are you understanding? People that share his ambitions, his dreams, his burdens, people that share his law.
Naturally, you will gain the favor of God; it is actually not rocket science. You know, in the carnal world, ask, "Why can't God favor everybody?" The word favor itself already talks about something that is exclusive, right? David found favor in the eyes of God above Saul because there was something that David was giving to God that Saul didn't give to God.
God's love is for free. You can't buy it. You can't even gain it because it was there even before you existed. So therefore, you can't even lose God's love. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world, not the church, the world, that he gave his only begotten son." So the world that hated God, the world that didn't care about God, God loved them enough to sacrifice his most prized possession. That is given to mankind for free.
But you see that thing called favor? No, no. It comes at a price. Are you following me? That price is obedience. That price is trust. That price is faith. That price is a willingness to let many things down in order to acquire this thing called God.
So based on that, God does have favorites, and there are people who indeed have his ear more than others. I know we talk about the prophetic, and we think the prophetic is just about being able to hear God's voice. No, it's a bit deeper than that.
Yeah. In the beginning, you can hear what God will say, and you say, "Well, this is what God says." But the maturity of the prophetic ministry is not just about you hearing what God says. It's the ability to tell God, Say, "God, this is what I believe should happen."
The Bible teaches in the book of Isaiah that God harkens onto the counsel of his messengers and confirms the words of his prophets. Elijah didn't consult God before he said that there would be no rain. He said it. And when he said it, God considered it and said, "Hmm, my friend, I believe you made a good judgment." All right, rain, no rain for three years. And that's exactly how it is.
Is that something everybody has? Certainly not. So God does have favorites. Praise the Lord. He loves everyone, but he favors above others those who give a whole lot more to him than others do. Jesus Christ taught to a whole multitude, but his perils he reserved only for those that reserved their perils for him. And that's on period. God bless you.
