Can I come to God without a pure heart?

Good morning, sir. It is said that we cannot come to God if our hearts are not pure and sincere. Sometimes we have a wondering heart, and I'm confused about how to condition my heart to that level of truthfulness and sincerity.
I believe the question you're asking is from Psalm 24, which says, “Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? He who has clean hands and a pure heart.”
It is good to say that God dwells in an unapproachable light, and anyone who sees God will die. But with this death, you must understand what it means. It's not a death that is a cessation of existence, but a death that is a cessation of a way of being, a state of mind, or a death of an old nature.
Yes! You cannot go close to God without clean hands and a pure heart, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you can't call upon his name and draw near to him. What it means is that even if you call upon his name, there is a purification process that you still have to go through, and thanks be to God, the Bible says that the Lord prunes every son that comes onto Him, and He scourges those He loves. So anybody can come to God. No matter how you are, come as you are. But coming as you are does not mean you will stay as you are.
God is like a university. You come as an illiterate person, but after spending 4 years, 5 years, and 6 years, you come out as someone with knowledge. So come to God as you are; don't feel like, Oh, I need to be holy before I can come to God. No. God so loved the world, not the church. So you come to God as you are, but don't think that God is going to leave you as you are.
God will challenge you; He will challenge your way of life, your way of reasoning, your state of mind, your deeds, your thoughts, and your belief systems; and He will change you so that you can look like Him, and when you can look like Him, you can dwell in His presence. Right?
It's like you want to serve in the cabinet of a king. The king has to fashion you into the characteristics, nature, and way of being of kings. You understand?
So if you want to work for Queen Elizabeth or spend time in her cabinet, they will teach you all the etiquette of the royal house. And in learning it, you become the same kind of, well, energy that they are. You speak like them. You have the same decorum and body language as them.
God is just like that. So come as you are, but understand that He will purge you with His fire and make you become what you're supposed to be.
