My prayer life is non-existent! What do I do?

For quite some time now, I have found prayer to be a chore. I get very tired and uninterested in praying. Not that I used to be a prayer warrior, but it was not this bad.
When I try to troubleshoot, I realize that it may stem from major prayer points in my family that's still not answered. So I am a bit weary.
I love the Lord, and I know that He's a faithful God because I grew up knowing Him. What do I do about my prayer life?
The Bible teaches us in the book of 1 Samuel, chapter 10, that when Samuel sent Saul to hang around the company of the sons of the prophets, Saul began to prophesy. He didn’t have any prophetic training or history, nor was he from the lineage of prophets, but by being in the company of prophets, the spirit of prophecy came upon him.
Our environment has a profound impact on our spiritual lives. If one struggles to pray, there is just one cure: attach yourself to a group of praying people and watch the spirit of prayer come upon you. That is the purpose of a community; what one cannot achieve individually, one can lean on the strength of the collective.
Think about how you have a hoard of water buffalos. As individual buffalos, they can’t fight against a pride of lions, but when they band together, the lions become handicapped, and the lion is always looking for the buffalo that will stray from the park; that is the one it will strike. There is strength when one is within a community. When you are in the company of praying people and stick there with true humility and an open heart, the fire there will also come upon you.
Beyond that, we need to know that when we talk about spiritual practices such as prayer, bible study, and things of that nature, it is beyond good feelings. It is a discipline. Because the flesh wars against the things of the spirit. Naturally, the flesh does not want to pray, meditate, study, or do anything that pertains to God (it will fight you). This is why we must cultivate disciplines that can enable us, regardless of whether we are excited, happy, or not. It is a discipline because we know this is what is needed for our spiritual health and well-being.
You must know that prayer is a discipline that every child of God must have. We don’t just pray when things are going well. No! The Bible says “Pray without ceasing." When I’m broke, I pray. When I’m rich, I pray. When I am sick, I pray. When I’m healthy, I pray. When things are going right, I pray. When things are going tremendously wrong, I pray. Because it is a part of our lives and how we download strength from on high.
We pray! We pray! A good way to help yourself is to find a band of praying men and women and attach yourself to them, and that same spirit will come upon you mightily like a tempest.
