What about water baptism?

What is your take on baptism? How do i study the bible effectively? Where do i start and what resources do you recommend
Well, your question is a rather broad one, one that deserves a whole lot of teaching.
I will, however, say this: the word baptism is from the Greek word baptizo, and baptizo literally means to immerse, right? It doesn't talk about a person entering into water as much as it talks about a person entering into something, right? Physically speaking, the water baptism is a physical ritual that is carried out as a symbol to represent the true baptism, which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
I'm right now reminded of the words of John the Baptist, who said, "I baptize you with water, but the one coming after me will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." Letting one know that the physical baptism of water is a symbol, albeit a powerful one, very, very relevant, amen. Nevertheless, it represents the true baptism, which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit that cleanses the heart of a man the same way water cleanses the flesh of a person's body.
Does this mean that the physical baptism is irrelevant? Not necessarily, right? Because I mean, there's a whole lot to talk about that. Let me just say this. If a person in spirit is connected to a realm in God through meditation, everything around them that they are also connected to can equally become a portal.
Just like the way if a person touches a live wire with a metal pole, anything that touches that metal pole gets electrocuted. In the same way, when a true priest of God, okay, immerses a person into the waters of baptism, that water becomes an extension of whatever realm that priest is touching. Are you following me?
In the same way, the handkerchiefs of Paul were healing people and things like that; it is the same way that when a true priest unto God immerses a person into the water, there will be a significant difference because that water becomes a physical address for a realm in the spirit because of the person, all right, that has opened that portal.
This is just me going a little bit deeper into that, to say, to emphasize that baptism is not nothing, amen. Nevertheless, baptism is of the Holy Spirit and it is a work of cleansing that God carries out in our hearts by washing us with the water of his word and empowering us with his spirit, giving us dominion over the things that once upon a time held us bound, right?
So that's a general description of the baptism. Like I said, it's a very, very big question; there's only so much one can say in a few minutes, but that should give you a big picture. That's why the Bible talks about how, we are baptized into Christ, right? Because the word baptism talks about being immersed into something, and that something is symbolized by water, but the real baptism is not a physical one, but a spiritual one. Hallelujah.
For question two, well, the first thing I'll tell you is this: my wife is a very wonderful teacher of the word and she holds a lot of deep Bible study courses, and come the first quarter of next year, she's going to begin a course called the Bible Study Foundational course. That is something I recommend for anyone who wants to begin their journey in Bible study, right? So you want to look forward to that. Her name is Esther Ideh. You can find her on Instagram and you can follow her for future updates.
And well, between now and then I'll recommend this page called the Bible Project. The Bible Project is, well, they're an organization of scholars that have gone out of their way to communicate a lot of biblical stories, truths, and principles in animation form. So they have a page on YouTube called the Bible Project.
They have pictographic representations of every book in the Bible. From Genesis and Exodus to Revelation. They have, like, little cartoons they've made to graphically represent all the books I'm talking about. So that's something I generally recommend to people who are just venturing into Bible study. I'll recommend the Bible Project because it's very pictorial and I, as a person, think in pictures; I learn in pictures. So that's something I'll always recommend.
So that's a very good start, the Bible project. You can find them on YouTube; you can find them on Instagram as well, and just go digest all their content.
And I hope that helps you, Sharon. God bless you.
